Industrial Visit for the world ,a Memorable trip to us ! The department of mass media of RD National college finally permitted an Industrial Visit  for the second year mass media students. The place, commute was decided by the students under the guidance of the teacher. The students decided to visit Film and Television Institute of India which is situated in Pune. The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) is an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India and aided by the Central Government of India. It is situated on the premises of the erstwhile Prabhat Film Company in Pune. Since its inception in 1960, FTII has become India's premier film and television institute, with its alumni becoming technicians, actors and directors in the film and television industry.
FTII is a member of the International Liaison Centre of Schools of Cinema and Television (CILECT), an organization of the world's leading schools of film and television.

FTII is approximately 4 hours by road. We were 69 students in total accompanied by 4 teachers and there were two buses for us .We left around 7am in the morning
And we halted in lonavala, the one hill station which is very near and dear for all the Mumbaikars, early morning that too in winters in lonavala feels like a glimpse of paradise , then we had some breakfast in Chandralok hotel where we had idlis, butter bread, jam bread, maggi and some tea and coffee and so on

the bus journey would be indeed the most rememberable one as we forgot all our sharam haya and our bathroom singers and dancers were all on the bus floor . Travelling is at times a much needed therapy and break from our daily lives . And college life is incomplete without a trip with your batch mates !! The dress code was semi formals and you can say how dedicated I am as I was the only one in the entire batch wearing a blazer , well I wanted to look different and I actually did !

After hours of travelling we finally reached the FTII which is in Pune , the education center where you suddenly feel all the knowledge is being transmitted into you , well FTII had a huge huge campus and damn we are so not used to be walking  in big campuses it just felt like an entire film area is around us you see to your left boom cameras you see to your right boom movie sets ! It was an awe moment for all of us a dream place where each one of us would want to be ,its one of the best places for media a pioneer for media students and amateurs like us , we went all gaga when we entered the institute ,

the people over there consider it as holy like a mandir like a masjid like a church to worship it for them its way more than just an institute for them its their world its their life somewhere where they feel belonged ! we were first shown how cameras work and it was just mind blowing to see the world behind the lenses ,I was more amazed to see a three crore camera ,now I realize why a picture speaks a thousand words ! Then next we saw how important the sound system is how much impact it can have in a movie, then we moved towards the background the set , and damnn over there you could feel time has paused or all the time is together on one side you have your old school kings and queens palace then the modern day street it was like LOVE AAJ KAL rather  idhar AAJ waha Kal then we saw the camera lightings then we moved to a museum and it was just so beautiful to see everything preserved and kept .What better place than FTII for mass media students ?FTII Is a complete thaali of media you name a media thing and boom they serve you with it . So much to learn from that place about television , recordings, movies, old cameras new cameras and so on..

After exploring the place and imagining ourselves in that delusional world we went to have lunch in a restaurant called Sukanta where we were served veg thaali ,initially I was dicey on eating because im a hardcore non veg eater but the veg thaali had me stunned and it gave me a reality check of my appetite because I completed the entire thaali and ordered for some more rice too!!

It was worth the wait , well in life you need a change from your daily routine you need to explore even when it comes to food! Well after eating so much one needs to go to a place to answer nature’s call but where can it be answered ? well this question had us all in dilemma where one place wasn’t sufficient for everyone to answer so we chose to break the norms and answer it in both the places!
Then we walked towards the bus because after eating so much one needs to cardio ,,well well we all napped also in the bus because recliner seats !And just like that how fast time can fly no one could measure it , we reached Mumbai around 8:30pm , the journey might have ended but will remain in our hearts forever !!
