We have been to Lonavala many times but every time we have managed to explore a whole new side of this Hill Station and places around it . Lonavala has managed to surprise us every time with lots of scenic beauty and adventure. Best time to Visit is during the Monsoon season or even Winters are fun in this Place. The Most Popular Place is Lions’s Point which is a Must-Visit for every traveller.

You will get to see very good views of the Valley , Sahyadri Mountain Range and greenery around.

Next is Lonavala Lake which is difficult to miss since it is on the way to Lion’s Point Drive. During Monsoon Season the Lake is full of water. Other months you could find it dry as well .

Another Experience while driving towards Lonavala - you can many waterfalls during the months of June to October , makes the drive really beautiful.

Then there is Karla Caves which is another very Popular attraction just about 10 Kms from Lonavala. Karla Caves are  2000 years old ancient Buddhist Rock-Cut Caves and there is a temple Ekvira very popular just besides the Caves.

Remember to get to the Top of the Caves it a steep Trek up the hill with many steps so only healthy people should attempt to see the Caves, not advisable for very small kids or Old people.

But if make it to the top it is a surreal experience with fascinating structures around.

Not too far from Lonavala is the famous Food Place – Sunny Da Dhaba .

The Food is just too good ,specially the Chicken , Mutton and panner dishes.

We also tried so mouth- watering Jalebi again a specialty of this Place.

Another beautiful attraction is the Pawna Lake which is just a little ahead of Lonavala 30 Kms, 40 mins Drive.

The Views of Pawna Lake were the best so even if this is an hours Drive to the lake from Lonavala one must try this place. You could try boating in Pawna Lake too .

Another Place for Adventure seeker is the Della Adventure Park in Lonavala .

It is a very Good Place to test your endurance ,strength and stamina

It has everything from Trekking , Rappelling , Zip Line and many thrilling Rides.

The Zip Line / Fox landing is an activity Thrill-seeking Souls should not miss .

You could also fly as high as 5 floors with one of their Rides.

It definitely gives u a Super man feeling or like one of the super heros flying in the sky .

You could also try Water Zorbing . Kids would totally love this one.

Or try the land Zorbing where you will roll down the Garden on the Slope.Della Adventure Park has beautiful Ariel Views as well .

We also tried Della Resort for our Stay. Della offers Tents and Normal Rooms as well. The tents offer Good Views. These Tents are Luxurious ,Air-conditioned and fully furnished .

The food is very tasty, breakfast has a decent spread and the stay of Della Resort is very comfortable as well.

Overall the Adventure Park , Food & Stay is a satisfactory experience . Per Day cost for the Adventure Park would be Rs 2,500 Per person. The Resort Stay with breakfast would cost Rs 10,000 per day for a couple.

Another adventure and a must Visit Place is the Imagica Theme Park

This Place is good for Thrill-seekers as well as Kids from 5 years onwards. This theme park is different from Della. It has Simulation Rides, Dinosaur Theme Splash Ride, some huge roller Coaster rides. Basically a mix of Disneyland and Six Flags in America. It is only 15 mins Drive from Lonavala.

The cost of Imagica is Rs 1300 per person . There are many good rides here but kids would really enjoy the Dinosaur theme ride called Splash here.

The Ride takes you in a jungle full of Dinosaur figures created theme and the you come down with a Big ‘’SPLASH’’

The other highlights is the Simulation ride on ‘’INDIA’s best places ‘’ and Scream ride a scary roller coaster ride which will really give you your adrenaline rush.

Some good photo Points are created for Camera lovers.

Overall a fun experience

They have a really cool café for Refreshments, but we did not like the food much here.

Another good place to explore around Lonavala is the Aamby Valley

Aamby Valley is a City created with many Wooden Villas , Man-made Lakes , Malls, Restaurants , Cafes, Water sports and also Adventure Sports ,Helicopter Rides and much more.

We took a Villa stay in one of our Visits to Lonavala and Aamby valley city.

The Villa Stay cost is Rs 10,000 to 12,000 for two people per night with breakfast. All are wooden Villas with Forest View.

The landscape of Aamby Valley is very picturesque and they have many gardens and open spaces which is really good for kids to play . Some of the Villas also have a private pool. We explored the Jet Boat Ride in Amby Valley, a very thrilling experience.
