An amazing place and it has been one of my favorite sites to visit in Singapore. It's a large museum where you will see Silk route vessels which includes holographic projections and models of Chinese, Borobudur and Javanese trading ships! Learn Navigation Skills and study the art of knot tying. Then you can experience a coin making workshop and learn and view the history of ancient coins as well. Stop at the spice market to learn about the spices, etc... There is so much to see and experience here at this museum. Overall, it's worth a visit

Extremely nice for budding kids. Be warned no restroom nor water fountain facility inside.

This is sometimes available free of charge through a combi ticket with the aquarium. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth checking out in my opinion. Overall, it's an ok museum but it suffers from not having many (or any) original artifacts - most or all are replicas. There are some good things to look at and if you are into ships and the history of trade, then this will be more interesting for you. However, the experential part of the museum fails. The "movie experience" tells a quite short, cliched story and is not all it's hyped up to be (especially since it's not included in the price of the admission ticket). The pirate "encounter" was the biggest letdown. So overall three stars for the effort they put into it but minus one star for the "experential" part.

Not very interesting. Few to none real artifacts, just replicas and video screens. Maybe okay for kids. Free entrance with S.E.A Aquarium ticket.
