After a lot of research on sea facing rooms we booked villa bayoud. We had a great experience. It was more than what we expected. Pleasent stay, beach facing balcony, great ambience, vintage style interiors and friendly staff.. manager ajay was very humble and helped us in a booking a vehicle too.. overall a great experience. Must stay hotel in rockybeach

It is an awesome place to stay. Opens right up to the beach. We stayed in the sea view room. They dont have a restaurant even though breakfast is provided if you ask. The rooms and service is good. The owner was very friendly and gave us suggestions on places to visit and eat at. Gives you a rustic feel.

Rustic- mysterious gone glory It was arround 4 30 am when we reached pondicherry and the tuk tuk dropped is to the back side of hotel(which is seaside) We tried to call the telephone no one answered then we waited by the seaside already busy with locals exercising)e till 7.00 The manager n owner apologised. The rooms was old french inspired architecture. Rustic furniture n comfortable They had a terrace garden, plants overgrown seemed not used in awhile ; they had an awesome collection of crockery and glassware again unused and no working restaurant, they were serving a modest breakie to the only other occupants(bread butter jam egg) Toiletries supplied was very cheap /medimix soap n clinic plus sachets n we end up in supermarket on the first day Through our 5 days stay we only had another room of guests. The place was really quiet too quiet. It showed signs of some past glory long lost

Stayed her for a couple of days in the first week of November 2019. Pros - Location 5/5, just next to the rock beach, Antique Interiors Cons - they provide only bread and corn flakes for breakfast as hotel does not have any inhouse restaurant. Cleanliness - 3/5. Service - 2/5 as there is no house keeping and also they don't even provide mineral water bottle everyday. Overall it was a decent stay. Can stay here only if you are willing to compromise on other comforts for location.
