The well-known and dynamic Shenbaga business group is the parent company of the hotel. It was started by the first generation of five entrepreneur brothers 40 years ago with the eldest Mr ShenbagaRajan leading the way. The group grew from strength to strength; from Timber, ceramic tiles, automobiles, Hotel Annamalai International & now Shenbaga Hotel & Convention Centre. There was a long association with Johnson, Neycer, Parryware companies before moving in with the present Johnson dealership for the last twenty years. Mr Baskaran & Mr.Rajsekaran have established the tile business as the flagship company in a short span with the distinction of being appointed as the largest Johnson dealer in the country. The vast retail expertise of the managing directors with exemplary service to the customers has catapulted the company into the number one position. Often the customers are surprised to receive the tile consignment before they reach their home!! Hotel Shenbaga and convention centre was started by these two enterprising brothers with minute service care towards guest satisfaction. The hotel was launched on 4th January by the chief minister Mr.N. Ranagasamy. The state of the art property is new in many aspects being the largest and tallest in Puducherry. They are ably assisted by the second generation directors Mr Suresh, Mr Arun Baskaran and Mr Vimal Baskaran.

The hotel has very pleasant to stay. I stayed in count suite. The facilities are very excellent in rooms. The house keeping and reception staff were very excellent. The food at restaurant was very good and service was excellent, they explained well and helped in our order and service was very quick. The hotel is very near to beach and lots of shops and temples near by. There's also old church nearby.

It's hygienic and well maintained... The prices are a bit high but the service is good... The complimentary breakfast has lot of options and the food is tasty.. Everyday the room is cleaned and towels/toiletries are changed.. The room is sanitized properly. Overall the service and the rooms are good. The staff is friendly and well versed with multiple languages..

Facilities are good. Nice staff and neat and clean rooms. But food quality is very bad. Even though you will get variety of items to eat in buffet but taste wise it was not at all good.

Very good ambiance. Budget friendly and has a good parking space which is quite spacious. Location is easier to be found out by guests since its in the heart of the town and has places of sight seeing very close by and tourists can have a easy access by foot.

Nice place to stay in Pondy centrally located! Room which we stayed was awesome, as they had a nice guest lounge attached. Which helped us party outside rather than inside the room. Good hospitality and food!
