Pattaya floating market is good but it is not worth travelling on a boat. The entry fee is 200B without the boat. If you take with a row boat, it costs you 800B per head which is very expensive. I prefer just the entry without the boat. The prices in the shops are all reasonable and in the night the market looks more beautiful. Also remember it is open only until 8PM. The restaurant is amazing and all types of food is available and for a resonable price.

Good to take a walk while visiting Pattaya. This week we are here with friends. Not so crowded as the other times I visited. We can take a walk and shopping under roof Prices are acceptable in a tourist place... They have variety choices of local fruits Many items we want to buy back but we don’t have enough space to store them so we decided to wait for next trip We want to take the boat to tour around the floating market... Our friends are generally happy to visit this place Would recommend as one of the tourist spot if you visit Pattaya

Not as smelly and much more organised than expected. Helpful tourist office at main entrance that informed us of free transport from the main entrance to the heritage centre. Enjoyed the Muay Thai demonstration and short walk through heritage centre. Lots of things to buy at reasonable prices if you want souvenirs or to taste some local delicacies such as fried scorpions or crickets. Very busy but overall a nice way to spend the day.

So, Floating Market is, as the name implies, a market on wood boardwalks over water. The shops have a lot of what you see in the shops and bazaars on land. Sculptures, clothes, a huge array of souvenirs, and lots of foodstuffs of many many different kinds, most of an Asian and Thai style. They aren't all entirely connected by bridges. More like, there are several different neighborhoods and you can take boats to get between them The admission ticket includes sub-tickets for pieces of the experience. I went for their full package at 900 baht. They have something of a rail you can follow with a planned out experience if you take that as is. You follow a yellow line through some shop neighborhoods to the Big Boat (which is amphibious and also a bus). That drops you off at a history center further in and there are pictures (first free, add the second for 100 baht if you want) a massage sampler with the option to buy some massage oils if you liked them. Thai fighting demonstrations after that. I hopped off the rail there, but the map shows they had more activities lined up after that if I'd kept going. Instead, I cashed in my Small Boat ticket and floated around the waterways. This is a smaller gondola style experience and a pilot guides your boat for you between all the shops and back. There are probably about thirty shops and maybe as many as 100 little food and beverage stands? There was a live music band adding to the atmosphere. All told, it's your core market experience, but on water, with a lot of Thai culture, history, boats and food flavors mixed in.
