Description
In 1943, at the height of the German occupation, what was only a derelict conference hall was transformed into an avant-garde theater under the leadership of two young actors, Georges Herbert and Paquita Claude. Paquita Claude, a great resistance fighter, took advantage of the place to hide many people in the cellar. As an anecdote, during recent renovations, we discovered a rifle dating from this period, walled in the basement. The two actors name this place “Théâtre La Bruyère”, from the name of the street that houses it. Very quickly this new room becomes essential, in particular from 1948, when the success of Robert Dhéry's play, Les Branquignols , consolidates this new place and gives it its titles of glory. In 1954, Georges Vitaly took over the artistic direction of the La Bruyère theater, owned by Ludmilla Vlasto. He enlarged it, had the balcony built and fitted out the plateau. The theater pretty much looks like it is today.

Petit théâtre accueillant avec petit bar ! Toujours de bonnes pièces à l'affiche. Situé près du métro saint Georges.

Théâtre très agréable avec une salle facile d'accès au rez-de-chaussée. Un espace d'attente agréable mais pas de bar du moins pour la séance de 19h de ce jour. Siège strapontin avec donc peu de confort et espace restreint pour les jambes.

Le lieu n'a pas lieu d'être jugé a part que l'on est bien assis et que l'on voit bien. Ce que je jugerais est plus la qualité de la prestation, ici exceptionnelle, de chanson plus'.

Très belle suite française... autant dans la mise en scène que dans le jeu d'acteurs. Très beau moment passé en un instant!
