The name comes from that of the old mill that was there in 1770. It was undermined by quarrying and was destroyed in 1827. Its location was occupied by a tavern between 1853 and 1860, called the Tower of Solferino. The park is also called Square Bleustein-Blanchet and occupies an area of just over 4700 m².

Has one of the auto hygienic bathrooms. No jungle gym for children. Came on a weekday where some teachers brought their preschoolers.

Lovely view and cute playground for the kids. Shaded green area has alot of bees so, if you hate them as much as I do, you might have to settle for a bench near by
