The museum was founded in 1898 by Henri Cernuschi (1821–1896) and is located in the small mansion which used to be his home. It describes itself as the second-oldest Asian art museum in France, and the fifth-oldest Chinese art museum in Europe.

Quite interesting museum for the price (it's free). Very well located, next to the beautiful garden and the respective metro stations.

Great Expo. the permanent collection is worth visiting but you can avoid it if you don't have time. but very nice and xpos from time to time.
