L'Île Verte , a former villa Barbier , is a property located at 34, rue Eugène-Sinet in Châtenay-Malabry in theVal d'Aulnay , near the Vallée-aux-Loups . It was at the xix th century, the home of Jules Barbier , librettist Charles Gounod , and the xx th century writer Marcel Arland and the painter Jean Fautrier . The property takes its name from a canvas of the latter. The property, with an area of ??113 ares, was purchased in december 2003by the Hauts-de-Seine general council .
