Description
It was designed to provide fresh drinking water to the population of the neighborhood and to commemorate the victories of Napoleon Bonaparte. It is the largest fountain built during Napoleon's reign still in existence. The closest métro station is Châtelet.

Soamy of these monuments around in paris it actually takes away from the wow factor from some of these individually!

Not maintained well, beautiful though. Not running no water when we visited. There were pictures and flowers of someone that passed there so not sure what that is about
