The Arènes de Lutèce (Paris's former name) are listed monuments that you can visit for free on any day. These arenas, situated in the Latin Quarter and built between the 1st and the end of the 2nd century, were able to hold up to 15,000 people. Originally, they were 132 m long by 100 m wide. Visitors can still see the site where the actors stood, the stage platform and lapidary parts. The Arènes de Lutèce and the Thermes de Cluny (at the Musée de Cluny) are the only remains of the Gallo-Roman period that are still visible in Paris today.

What a little gem of a park. We just happened to be taking refuge at a care nearby (Nuance Cafe) when we noticed the entrance to this park we had not heard about it. It's very small but very beautiful. Apparently it is the remains of an ancient Roman theater? There were people play different kinds of sports and games inside the arena. There were many places you could just sit an enjoy the scenery. It's a great place for families, evident by the little playground and all the children running around.

Cool to visit but there’s no information displayed to understand the history better (at least we didn’t find it). So we sat in the amphitheater and used wikipedia to try to learn more. It’s a quick visit—if you’re in the neighborhood and have 30 mins to spare for some culture, go!

A open field, space with different exhibitions taking place at different times. Kids can enjoy themselves with sports activity.

Really isn't much. A small amphitheatre, even if it is Roman, has little to offer to visitors. Not worth a detour.
