John Malcolm was one amongst the most eminent generals of the British era. Back in the year of 1828 Malcolm visited Mahabaleshwar and was stunned by the charming hilly terrain and natural beauty of the region of Mahabaleshwar. To honor John Malcolm, the most amazing mansion of the entire colonial era was built and not just this much, this mansion was named after him. Today it is a prized possession belonging to the past of India. Mount Malcolm is counted amongst the ancient buildings present in the region of Mahabaleshwar. This mansion was constructed in the year 1829 and it is one of the most visited tourist spots of Mahabaleshwar. People value the unique architecture and wonderful designs flaunted on the walls of this mansion. Though the mansion has lost its original charm due to passage of time, it is still able to woo the hearts of the visitors.

Once you have seen the Arthur's Seat Point, nothing much will catch you attention. All the other surrounding viewpoints are iterations of the same valley. I suggest you save your photos for Arthur's Seat.
