The Missionaries of Charity’s Mother House is a holy place of pilgrimage and reverence for those who are searching for a more meaningful existence. It was established by the Blessed Mother Teresa in 1950 with the purpose of selfless service to mankind and to uplift the plagued humanity towards the path of salvation. After Mother Teresa left her mortal body in 1997, she was laid to rest in a tomb inside the house where she lived and served. The site of the tomb is very simple yet it exudes enormous amount of benign and pure vibration that fills the heart with gratitude and peace. Situated amidst noise and crowd, Mothers tomb is a true reflection of her life which contemplated the example of soulful and mindful meditation.

I use to go there frequently - a place of ultimate peace and tranquillity amidst all chaos that surround us in the busy metro life. Being a student of missionaries school, I tend to get attracted to this place by the selfless love & devotion of the sisters here. I find the "Mother's statue" in the first floor most fascinating as whenever I see it, I feel like seeing Mother alive, sitting at one corner of the praying hall and being completely immersed into her prayers for the mankind.

Very serene and peaceful atmosphere. The location is very easy to find. The museum is very informative and detailed. We spent more then two hours in this place just soaking up the sanctity. If you are ever in Kolkata and are contemplating if you should visit or not - do visit, you will not regret it!

As one would expect, minimal and basic, but appropriate. Also in the area showcased the process creations and making by various and many artisans of statues, objects etc from start to finnish. Literally hundreds of 'back alley' studios. Very interesting and enjoyable to see unhindered and no bother.

Hopefully the best place to find peace. In ghis busy hustle lifestyle, where everyone seems to run for material satisfaction but still are unhappy, actually they are looking for the mental happiness. They are looking for a quality time for them with them. For that reason this is the best place that someone should look for. There are lot to help you guide you. The positive atmosphere won't let you move from here. You will feel like this is the ultimate desire your mind and soul is looking for.
