This temple, dedicated to Surya the Hindu Sun god, is worth a trip if only to see what a cushy life the monkeys, pigs and cattle that crowd the way up have. They are well fed by visitors and locals a like. You will probably be offered peanuts at the auto-rickshaw stop at the bottom of the hill but I think the monkeys prefer fruit. The walk up is quite long on a very rough path but you get good views over Jaipur from the top. The temple itself is small but there are some nice carvings. You are expected to make a small contribution to see the shrines and get a blessing.

One of the best place in jaipur. The Great Sun Temple. This is very beautiful. If you want to experience it just come jaipur and experience this holy place. There is not only this temple. There is many like galta kund and hanuman temple and ambe mata temple. Just come and experience. And rate my photography skillls

Lot of friendly monkeys provided you are not eating while walking. The temple and the views are breathtaking during sunrise and sunset both. Loccal people often come here to fly kites.

Very terrific place to visit. You can have complete city view from top. Requires a hill walk rock road is there. Don't listen to six sitter Auto or cab guys for extra stop only get fix rate for visit of this spot. The best way is to get a electric autos reach up to Suraj gate of pink city then you can start waking towards galta gate.
