Cacra Beach is located around 5.2 km from Bambolim near Goa University. Located on the Taleigao Plateau, this beach is home to people called Cacracars. This community is dependent on fishing for its livelihood. Tourists can view many wooden canoes and fishing nets in the village. Festivals like Christmas and Ganesha Chaturthi are the major attractions of this village. Besides, the Cacracars also celebrate Zagor, which is a traditional cultural fest involving a kind of folk dance drama. Another prominent attraction of this village is a coconut breaking sport. Nearby villages like Oxel and Nauxe can also be visited by tourists

Small little beach in the Goa University area. The beach is actually pretty beautiful but totally ruined with the piles of beer and other alcohol bottles, snacks wrappers and all sort of unwanted rubbish just shamelessly thrown around with absolutely no concern to the environment and the gift that nature has bestowed at this place. Although the beach is not suitable for swimming but it definitely had the potential of being a nice chillout area. I hope some authorities take some strict action and clear the beach of it's unwanted rubbish and preserve it's beauty.

A good place to enjoy the evening as there is not much crowd. But make sure your brakes work well as you have to drive down a steep slope to get to the beach.

Cacra beach is a nice secluded beach. We were there for a beach cleanup. Found a lot of trash and cleared it. It's very picturesque now.

Always a go to home for University students. Please keep this place clean and throw your beer bottles in the dustbin present on the Taleigao highway. Littering ruins beauty of this place. Otherwise this is probably the most chilled out and peaceful place you'll find anywhere on earth.
