Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary is located in northeastern Goa, India in Ponda taluka. The total area of the park is 8 km. It is a popular destination for both tourists and schoolchildren. A wide variety of animal life can be encountered, including: sambar deer, Indian bison, Malabar giant squirrel, Indian peafowl and many species of snakes. Bondla provides sanctuary to leopards who have been injured in human-wildlife conflict, as well as "dancing" bears and cobras who, along with their trainers, need a new life after this treatment of endangered wildlife. Bondla zoo is known for its successful breeding of gaur. As it is the only zoo in Goa, many visit the zoo. The zoo provides an excellent environment to breed and do researches on animals.

Awesome Location for kids... With the decreasing number of zoos in urban areas, this is the wildlife treat for your kids. Located somewhat far from Goan beaches, the road is scenic, travel is soothing. Lot of wild animals, birds and reptiles to see. The layout is well thought, but you need to walk a lot. Overall the area is secure and clean. Food and canteen facility is not much reliable and clean. But you'll get drinking water there.

It has a great parking area to start with and the prices are extremely low too.. Good range of animals to see plus the snake cages were amazing too.. The place has small bridges inside and has many trees around... This made it a great place for photograph and have fun with family.. The only con is it very far away from the city..

A delightful WLS for seekers of forest habitats. It's a mixed forest type in my knowledge with primarily being Moist Deciduous and parts of it being Evergreen. It being in the Western Ghats, ensure wonderful number of avifauna species with many endemic to the region. It also has a lot of wildlife to boast about. Do like and share my review and provide in the form of comment so that I can improve upon what to share with you.

This place is located almost half hour away from ponda. The place can be reached via a bus, car or bike. The roads to this place are good and you should not have any problems reaching this place. The place is very well maintained. Entry free is zero. Only thing you are not allowed to take buses inside as it is scary for wild animals. You will find variety of wild animals here and large category of snakes too. The staff at this place is helpful and supportive. It is better to go at this place in the morning time itself. However you may go at any time during rainy season. This place is usually crowded with family and childrens. Overall a very nice place for family trips on weekends.
