Penang Restauarnt - Darjeeling    Share

My partner and I ended up here by chance and what a pleasant twist of fate it was. The food was so delicious and soulful (especially the pork momos and clay pot chicken). The servers weren’t overly attentive but came when called and were kind and helpful. Overall it was an excellent experience for us. This place is obviously a local staple and we can see why.

I had been there with one of my colleague and it was an delightful experience, taste of foods are delicious specially Pork dishes. But the only thing I did not like about this restaurant is, no attached washroom was there. Overall a nice place, specially for pork lovers.

Who doesn't know Penang Restaurant specially if you are from Darjeeling. It was different when we were growing up and were back in College. We used to love the food out here specially if you are a pork Momo lover. Been here many many times and was totally in love with their on house thali and amazing fried rices. However in between, the quality had gone down a bit. Have not visited after the renovation but will make it a point to visit again and cherish our good old days.

Wonderful ambience.... Enjoy authentic Nepalese food. Don't forget to try the Momos... Especially pork one!!!

Pathetic and late service. The waiter was very rude. The peanut side dish that came with chicken thali was spoilt. The manager/owner at the counter was disinterested when we have her the feedback. Chicken dish was good.
