In the reign of King Vajiravudh (Rama VI), it was used as a practice field for the Wild Tiger Corps, his personal affairs and he gave it the new name of Wat Phlapphla Chai, which translates to 'Victory Pavilion Temple', alluding to the pavilion built for the King Phutthayotfa Chulalok inside the temple.

There is an old temple settles down in heart of the city that is Wat Phlapphachai. This temple quite unique there are many edifices i.e. secondary school, charitable trust, nursery school and etc. When we entered there is no much vacancy place to go just the way to get in and out, they may have parking but I don’t see. And inside there is reconstructing the Uposot (Boht) which might have been using for years.
