I enjoyed visiting this place. Great place with history. And you can take nice pictures. The way there is also easy to find with Google maps I was there in September and there were so many people that it was hard to move and you cannot get any pics just from yourself cause there is no space for a picture without other people. It was a bit overwhelming and too hot but it is manageable

Must see destination in Bangkok. I live here and have enjoyed every time I've brought visitors there. Yes it is hot. Yes it is crowded. But it is beautiful. Please show respect and follow the directive of no photography of the Emerald Buddha itself inside the temple. Plastic bags are given for your shoes which you will carry in with you. Bring a drawstring bag or tote to make this easier.

This is another one of those must-see temples if you happen to find yourself in the vicinity or surrounding area. It's difficult to find the gold foil wrapped temples around Thailand as plenty of them have been sacked over the centuries, which is fascinating to read about but makes for *only* slightly less attractive structures and monuments. Temple of the Emerald Buddha still cherishes most of its original form, making it an exceptionally worthy temple for visiting.

The cultural scenery was very nice. Lots of people and the heat was nothing to scoff at but the visuals of the temple more than made up for the experience. You will see signs stating that no photos should be taken but you will see people taking pictures everywhere. The only place where you really want to observe this rule is in the structure with the actual emerald Buddha.

This whole temple is a gem! We went and it was overcrowded. But it’s still worth the pushing and shoving to get it and see this magnificent work of art. The walls have hand painted murals from Floor to ceiling. The altar is spectacular with all of its guilded splendor. The outside of the temple is also amazing. It is covered in mosaic and marble. Everything is meticulously cared for. The bathrooms were clean. Make sure to wear shirts that cover your shoulders (for both men and women). Also, no shorts are allowed. To go into some of the temples you have to take your shoes off. They give you a plastic bag to carry them while you are inside. Definitely worth the visit. Once in your lifetime. It’s the must visit place in Thailand. If you’re here then you must go there at lease once!As the place is considered the heart of the country.
