Very natural habitat park in the heart of Bangkok. Drive or take a boat ride across, rent a bicycle and explore an old part of Bangkok that still exists. They call this place the lungs of Bangkok with all the greenery around. The houses here are basic set amidst a rustic natural surroundings. Because it is built within the swampy grounds, there is tendency for smelly sewage. The municipal needs to do something to manage it.

This is a pleasant day out in the city by the river. There's parking at the main entrance and you can rent bikes for 30 baht or 40 baht with a kids seat on the back. There are two cycling routes, one on the outside which still has some cars and motorbikes and the other closed off to traffic in the park. This one is nice as you are cycling in the shade under the trees. There are fish to feed and pavilions to sit in as well. Toilets are clean and restaurants on the riverfront are cheap and good. We ate four dishes for under 500 baht with a nice view. All in all a nice and economical day out.

An easy 10 minute walk (700m) from the ferry crossing from Klong Toei Pier (10 baht per person each way). The park is quite natural with well maintained walking paths and walkways. You can rent bikes at the entrance though it is easy walking plus you will find places to eat local street food & buy drinks

Lush green park in middle of town. You can enjoy nature at it's best in the park. Route to reach the park is also a pleasing drive away from city hustle-bustle. Nature lover can do jogging, cycling, exercise, yoga or just relax on the water front. Though I could not spot many bird species but it is definitely a place to enjoy birding. Only caution, if you plan to chime to this place from far tenure to have your own conveyance.
