The museum contains information about the naval history of Thailand which Samut Prakan province played an important part. In the museum grounds are a seaplane, the conning tower of a submarine, tanks and various guns. Inside there are many model ships. The highlights include H.T.M.S. Machanu, the first submarine in Thailand, and the first lighthouse in Thailand.

I love military museums, but this is more of a museum of models and miniatures of ships. The military staff are courteous or it would get 1 star.

Im a big military history buff. I assume that most of the museum was closed when i visited as there were only 2-3 rooms open with a dusty collection of weapons and poorly labelled artifeacts. I had hoped to see some history and perhaps a few model boats
