Sherpa Restaurant, founded in 1989 in Amsterdam, is the first Nepalese and Tibetan restaurant in the Netherlands. We also serve several signature Indian cuisines. The traditional cooking in Nepal, Tibet and India is an art and requires years of experience. Nepalese cuisine consists of mainly curries and rice and prepared with mild spices and herbs. Similarly, Tibetan dishes consist of various Momos (dumplings) and noodles and prepared mainly with Himalayan herbs. Furthermore, Indian dishes consist of various Curries, Tandoori, Biryani, Naan and Roti. All our dishes are freshly prepared in order to offer you an authentic taste and freshness. Excellent food at a fair price for this location. We came as a group of 8 with 2 children. Space was very limited (as expected), but staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant was fully booked, people were waiting at the door, so I recommend reserving a table at weekends or with larger groups. Level of spice was perfect for us and as requested. Food was plenty and was brought to the table at a good pace (we chose a set menu). We had a great evening!

I really enjoyed dining at Sherpa Restaurant. The Tibetan cuisine is really good, food is tasty and personally was at the right level of spicyness for my taste buds. The service was also very good. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for original Tibetan cuisine.

The food was great. Everything was delivered like we ordered. The waitress was funny and helpful. A small restaurant with the best Indian food!

Good food in south Amsterdam. Restaurant is a good mix of Nepalese and Indian food. The service is good and menu plentiful. The momos were pretty good. Tasty and fresh.

I've been there twice and it was excellent. I had the Fish Masala and Coconut ice cream. I could eat there every day. Friendly service!
