This used to be my favourite Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. The quality has dropped a lot lately. Takeaway dishes that used to fill the containers now only just fill the container half way and lack the flavour that made them so special. Where the dishes used to taste like they'd been made from scratch they now taste like they are made with sauces bought from a supermarket .Worse still, this drop in quality comes with higher prices! I get a very strong impression that they've changed ownership or changed the cooking staff. Very disappointed!

The food is amazing and very tasty, spicy. Very authentic Indian one. I would say one of the best in Amsterdam. Price is very cheap and the quantity was adequate. I would highly recommend it. The reception by the staff there was very friendly. Thank you.

My wife and I were recommended this place by our host in Amsterdam, and it didn't disappoint. I don't often write reviews, but this was one of my favorite Indian meals I've ever had. It's a simple and unassuming room, but with a strange elegance that's hard to explain. Food was out of this world, with the naan maybe being the best we've ever had. Wine list was unique and thorough. The family who runs the place was extremely friendly with us and gave great service. We enjoyed chatting with the wife/husband team running the place, with his father being the head chef and doing great work back there. One of the best vindaloo dishes I've ever had as well. Fiery hot but with flavor as well. And for Amsterdam, the price was very fair. When we're back in Amsterdam, no question we'd be back!

It's the go-to place for good quality food without any second thought. If you are in Amsterdam and you are craving for Indian food, look nowhere else. Rates are reasonable too.
