The Royal Theater Carré is a Neo-Renaissance theatre in Amsterdam, located near the river Amstel. When the theatre was founded in 1887, it was originally meant as a permanent circus building. Currently, it is mainly used for musicals, cabaret performances and pop concerts.

Sure, it is not the most modern place and that may sometimes be an issue. Catching the right show however makes this beautiful classic theatre enrich the experience tenfold! Treat the place with a little respect and enjoy the classic atmosphere of a true grit theatre, I dare you

Loved the world Circus show... More so it's how great the venue is! The Seating, light, sound, visuals, ... All really went well then clearly the bonus is the arena for the horses! The circle is so small yet the horses gallop like it's a circuit.

Watched Book of Mormon in the theater. Superb theater superb musical. Sound system was very good. Definitely recommend They have a small restaurant in the ground floor with a short list of 3 courses to chose from. Priced an average of 20 for main and 12 for starters it’s pocket friendly for a quick diner before the show. Employees are polite an friendly.

A wonderful old theater with amazing acoustics and fantastic seating arrangements. The lobby is very cool and the location is right next to some fantastic cafes. The setup of the theater was in a Shakespearean style and I believe it adapts depending on what is playing.

Amazing theater haven’t been there for a while, but it still has the same magic every time. The staff was very polite and the World christmas circus was lovely. We really enjoyed our night!
