Fresh kitchen and pure tast! I am specialized in making Mughlai Indian food. This style of food was prepared by cooks only for King’s (Maharajas) in India in their kitchen. After independence in the year 1947 all the kingdoms were merged & their cooks came out from King’s kitchen to public places. I learned this skill from a very famous cook in India. Very healthy Indian ingredients are used in the food which are good for health, boost immune system & good for body organs. To name the few dishes: Tandoori chicken, Butter chicken, Chicken Tikka masalla, Chicken Rogan Josh same in Lamb & special Vegetarian Thali. Here each dish is prepared fresh on your order. Nothing is cooked in advance in the kitchen. I use authentic Indian spices directly imported from North of India. Most of the spices i like to grind. Indian, Grill, Healthy, Soups, Medicinal foods. Approx cost for two people Rs 1400.

Nice staff. Decent food. Just disappointing portions overall if you venture outside of anything else but chicken. Order a shrimp dish and had to battle with 3 little pieces hiding behind a voluminous amount of sauce and vegetables. Place can be good but staff and cook need to find there way back to passion and consistency. Wake up please.

Swagat is one of the best Indian restaurant I have ever been at Amsterdam.. Service from Mala was authentic and to detail.. .Amazing ambience with one of the best taste of food I have had out of many restaurants in Amsterdam.. To locate the place it is right opposite to Tram 24 Stadionweg.

Just discovered Swagat as a friend from overseas was here to visit last night. We both love Indian food, so decided to give the restaurant a try. Great setting, and our server, Mala was attentive and lovely with us. And the food... definitely 5 stars! We ordered three vegetarian dishes, all of which were perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of heat. I will be back!! If you love great Indian food we highly recommend this place!

Today my husband and I had the chance to have dinner at this wonderful Indian restaurant. The staff is very polite and helpful with a very good service. The food fantastic and delicious, it is the place where you really can have the taste of India. For sure, if we have the opportunity to be around, we will come back to this place.
