Hap-Hmm serves up tradition in more than one way: its traditional Dutch food is complimented by the fact that the time-honoured Amsterdam eatery has been running for a staggering 60 years. Dutch, European. Approx cost for two people Rs 1000.

Traditional Dutch meal in a pleasant atmosphere. We had excellent, friendly service and very good food. Very affordable. It was a nice surprise. The entree was served by itself and the side vegetables and potatoes were served separately, which made it feel even more like a home cooked meal. We ordered the fish entree and it was well prepared.

Food was pretty good. Service could be a lot better and more friendlier. As soon as I walked in it, it seemed like the gentleman behind the bar (maybe owner) was annoyed and didn't want to be bothered. Also, in my opinion, any place that doesn't want to serve tap water and forces customers to purchase bottle water

Soooooo good! We came early and was able to get a seat in the limited seating restaurant. They don't take reservations. So far this place is our favorite since we arrived in Amsterdam. Cute, clean, good quality food and friendly service. I saw that the stew was a specialty of theirs and ordered it. Amazing! All the sides are served family style and there is plenty to go around. I'd definitely come back if ever in Amsterdam again.

Not quite sure what the fuss is about. The service was welcoming and attentive, and the place felt authentic, in a very old fashioned sense. The food was also old fashioned (as in boiling the vegetables to death sort of old fashioned). The stewed beef was apparently very nice and good value for money, but the 11€ asparagus burger I had left a great deal to be desired. That was very disappointing, and I'd be surprised if it even was home made.

Nice to have a restaurant with traditional Dutch food. I really liked it. The red cabbage isn't that tradional, but still taste really good. I assume they adjusted the dish a bit so the international people like it. I would def. recommend the restaurant.
