The Heineken Experience, located in Amsterdam, is a historic brewery and corporate visitor center for the internationally distributed Dutch pilsner, Heineken beer. The industrial facility was built as the first Heineken brewery in 1867, serving as the company's primary brewing facility until 1988 when a more modern, larger facility was constructed on the outskirts of the city. In 1991, the brewery opened to the public as a brewery tour and visitor centre, known as the "Heineken Treat and Information Centre" (Although the Heineken "Experience" began in 1991, there were tours of the original brewery while it was still fully operational.) (Dutch: Heineken ontvangst- en informatiecentrum). The attraction grew to become one of Amsterdam's most popular tourist attractions and by 2001 the visitor centre changed its name to "Heineken Experience"

Probably one of the best brewery tours around in the world. Very futuristic and advanced. There are many things to do. Good value for the price offered. The beginning is a bit crowded but then it gets better as you go. The end is also very crowded for the line to get the final beers. Anyway, great time. Must do.

We visited the Heineken experience and I was very impressed with the whole experience. You are given a wristband with two tokens that you can redeem for half pints at the end of your tour, in the bar which has a very nice atmosphere and good music. The staff were incredibly informative and friendly. The entire experience felt so interactive interesting even if you really don't care about beer. I like how the tour was a self guided tour and I never felt rushed around. A lot of effort has went into this experience and can definitely be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. The range of items in the shop was amazing and we spent quite a bit of time (and money) in there.

Well no words to describe this place. They have kept the heritage so well maintained. Every person working here is so very well know about the history. I am so proud that I was able to visit such a huge n know brand through out the world. Came to know how the beer is made as well. Got my name printed on the bottle as well. There is lot to see and experience at the house. The horse stable is one of place to know about their history. They have kept all the first design bottle manufactured by them. The led show is good trey for eyes as well. The goody store is just wow. Felt like buying all the things. Staff are well mannered n make you feel part of them. Just go and visit this place. A must go place for every Amsterdam visitor.

Definitely one of the most fun and interactive experiences I’ve been to so far. It is a MUST if you are in Amsterdam and you are able to drink. Take advantage of the pouring contest at the end. It’s your pathway to another free drink and an awesome time. The history of this place is stunning and the beer? Incredible.

We visited the Heineken Experience and have mixed reviews about the tour. The tour was more guided than unguided as through every door there was a (friendly and well informed) guide waiting to explain the history or process of making Heineken. There were interactive monitors etc. And we got a bottle with a personal message on it. Although it was a fun experience, it wouldn’t be one of the ‘must do’s’ of an Amsterdam holiday
