The authentic interior of these two buildings with stepped gables, dating back to 1614, has stood the test of time, retaining features such as a warm open hearth with matching tiles. In stark contrast with the decor, the food is modern down to the last detail. The young chef works mainly with Dutch ingredients and has a well-deserved reputation. Dutch, European. We walked in without a reservation and were lucky to get the last available table. And how lucky. This restaurant has everything you would expect from a Michelin starred one: courteous service, amazing food and nice ambiance. The 400 year old building makes the experience even greater. I recommend the 6-course meal with wine pairings.

Such a cute crooked house with an interesting history, it made a cosy atmosphere to our Christmas meal! The food was lovely and the staff were terrific. The her created some really interesting flavour combinations and I enjoyed every dish. We only had the 5 course menu but it was enough for us. Definitely recommend!

Most innovative and delicious food I’ve ever had. The wine pairings were perfect, they accentuated and contrasted each course. Very modern techniques are used along with traditional Dutch flavors and local ingredients to produce a unique experience that’s difficult to compare. The presentation was as artistic and beautiful as the food was delicious. It was almost a shame to have to cut or bite it. I ate slowly and smelled each dish. The flavor and color and scents evoked memory and emotion. The wait staff was knowledgeable and patient to explain the menu and each item served. They moved like clockwork. Each dish came out perfectly, and in the exact time when I finished the one before. The wine pours were the exact amount needed for each course. The restaurant itself is a unique, old, leaning little building. It is warm and inviting. This was my favorite part of my holiday in Amsterdam.

Congrats to the brilliant chef and his excellent team for the exceptional menu, mind blowing tastes, exceptional wines and plate presentations. Great service as well. An amazing experience overall in a historic building. Thank you!!

We were lucky to step in without a reservation and get the last table available. The experience couldn't have been more spectacular. Besides the obvious outstanding food quality, service was impeccable. I would recommend having the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairing.
