In de Gecroonde Duyvekater Bakery Museum is located in a charming house dating back to 1658. The bakery is decorated in 19th-century style and features an authentic oven from that time. The bakery got its name from a type of sweet bread that is still made in the Zaan region.

Such a cute little bakery house! I love everything about Zaanse Schans, and this bakery is just one of the little houses there. They give free recipes and the staff wore traditional outfits too so you can take pictures with them.

When you find yourself in Zaanse Schans and it starts raining, find a spot in the gorgeous tea room of the bakery museum. Accurately furnished with old bakery tools, maintained the cupboard where people used to sleep and turned it into a tiny spot for a table. Amazing to see how to make ginger biscuits. You cannot definitely miss the appel beignet.

Free museum at the back, and fresh daily treats to buy in the middle of the house. Try the cheese biscuit and the almond cookie and enjoy it in the living room section!
