Superb and touching I visited Anne Frank's house about 18 years ago and they have made it even better than then. Strongly recommend the additional 30 minutes tour into the history. Great guide. Strongly recommend. Best thing to do in Amsterdam.

The Diary of Anne Frank is a story of hope, history, bravery and humanity. When you walk on the same floorboards just as she did, you feel very strange. It is an absolutely amazing experience that is unrivaled by anything I've ever witnessed. I found the visit to be educational, emotional and I felt it honor her life and story so beautifully.

A truly moving experience, would very strongly recommend booking in advance, the walk through the house is thoughtfully planned out and there is lots of information and items to view. They also slowly filter people in so it never felt particularly busy, which really helped and made the experience quieter and you never felt rushed. A must for any visit to Amsterdam.

The whole visit is extremely informative. I would definitely recommend that you have the introductory first as it gives a better insight as to what happened, and more importantly, you can ask questions. The museum itself is intuitive, the audio phones are a must. Personally it's not illuminated enough, but I guess it adds to the mood.

Such a somber feeling to have been in this same place where a family had to endure so much. I only wish no talking was allowed on the tour (so many people being inappropriate, laughing, loud, etc.) Also, it would be nice if the group size per time slot were half of what it was, it was hard to move around and really absorb the content/history. Agree with other reviews, get your ticket online and I would recommend getting the first time slot to avoid the mass chaos of the large groups in each time slot.
