It is quiet beautiful place you can enjoy with nature. Even though it is a man made forest it doesn't really give you that kind of feel and is very peaceful. Good for bikers, joggers or to laze around as well!!

Description
Amsterdam Forest, because this is the name in English of the big park just outside Amsterdam, is a marvelous place where you may relax walking, taking a bicycle ride, making a picnic, rowing on a canoe or in winter when it snows, skiing down the slope. Amsterdamse Bos is a large park – it is comparable in its size to Bois de Boulogne in Paris, the difference being that it is totally artificially created, on unused turf lands and wetlands just out of the city. As some of the trees have now seventy years, Amsterdamse Bos is today a real forest, but because it has been planned and arranged, it has many facilities created for sports and leisure. It has among others, several large water areas – a long artificial rowing lake, several other lakes, a number of swimming pools, some of them small - ideal for children and multiple sports facilities. The big attraction is De Heuvel (The Hill) - an artificial mountain with one slope let free for all kinds of winter sports.

It is an excelent place where you can go and rest. The view are beautiful but it is a bit far from the center. I think it is ideal to go by bike.

Nice forest where you can walk and talk with any one. Friendly people and dogs can walk freely. I always come here to relax and enjoy nature in every aspect.

Such a lovely and well maintainned forest One of my best days was in 2019, when I could spend a sunny afternoon there. It is between the city and the airport, so you can spot planes too. Surely will visit anytime I'll be in Amsterdam. Recommended!

A beautiful forest a few minutes by bike from the center. There several activities for children including tree climbing (with B'day party arrangements). There are a sport center with hockey, children's farm, Stand Up Paddling, Spa Sport Hotel, Forest theater, Children bathing, you can rent a bike there, go camping and many more things!
