The Shakti Peetha are significant shrines and pilgrimage destinations in Shaktism, the goddess-focused Hindu tradition. There are 51 Shakti peethas by various accounts,[3][4] of which 18 are named as Maha (major) in medieval Hindu texts. The legend behind the Shakti Peethas is the story of the self-immolation of the goddess Sati. Vishnu had to cut her body into 51 body parts, which fell on Earth and became sacred sites. There are many legends in ancient and modern sources that document this evidence. A consensus view on the number and location of the precise sites where Sati's corpse fell is lacking, although certain sites are more well-regarded than others

This temple is located around 1-2 kms from the safari location of pushkar. Drive is kind of off road but car can essily go there. Divine experience to know about this roop of Maa Sati. This is one of the shakti peethas of Maa Sati, the pandit ji here is so nice, you won't find a guy like him in temples. He is so happy and feels blesses to worship the Goddess. He details the history, how the place originated as shakti peeth. He worships for you, and wont even ask for money which is rare. He is working to maintain and develop the infrastructure, there is picture attached, amount can be donated and his mobile number is also present. Jai Mata di.
